In connection with the Act of April 4, 2025 on amending certain acts in order to eliminate irregularities in the visa system of the Republic of Poland (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 622), we would like to inform you that from July 1, 2025, some rules of recruitment for foreigners to studies at the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business will change.
1. Foreigners applying for admission to first-cycle studies on the basis of a document issued abroad, which is not a document confirming the right to apply for admission to studies, referred to in art. 326a section 1 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2024, item 1571, as amended) will be required to take an exam testing knowledge to the extent necessary to undertake studies in a given field. Foreign candidates will be informed about the date, form and scope of the exam in subsequent announcements.
2. The University does not organize a Polish language exam. Verification of knowledge of the language in which education will be conducted during studies will be made on the basis of a certificate presented by a foreigner at a language proficiency level not lower than B2. The Minister of Science and Higher Education will determine, by way of a regulation, the types of documents confirming knowledge of the language in which the studies will be conducted.
3. Foreigners applying for admission to first-cycle studies on the basis of a document that is not a document confirming the right to apply for admission to studies, referred to in art. 326a sec. 1, or applying for admission to second-cycle studies on the basis of a diploma of completion of studies issued abroad, which is not a diploma entitling to continue education at second-cycle studies, referred to in art. 326 sec. 1, and which has not been recognized as a diploma equivalent to the relevant Polish diploma on the basis of an international agreement, or through nostrification, will be required to provide written information from the NAWA Director confirming the right to apply for admission to studies.
